Vijay, Genelia and Hansika starring ‘Velayudham’ which is directed by Jayam Raja has seen a big let down in the U.K box office, due to the censor problems of the film.
The Cineworld UK has cancelled all shows of ‘Velayudham’ in the second weekend. They issued a statement that “They cancelled all shows as scheduled at Cineworld cinemas. The film distributor Ayngaran has added an extra 22 minutes to the film which has not been sent to the BBFC for certification. Cineworld has removed this film from there cinemas.”
In the 2nd weekend the film has collected approximately Rs. 40,777 on 8 screens and average working out per screen Rs. 5,087. ‘Velayudham’ has totally collected Rs. 1,21,47,848 in the U.K box office
In the Australia box office the film has collected approximately Rs. 2,50,941 on 6 screens and average working out per screen Rs. 41,815. ‘Velayudham’ has totally collected Rs. 28,46,181 in its 2nd weekend.
