The music rights of Dhanush starrer Mariyaan which based on a real life story, has been acquired by Sony Music.
Directed by Bharat Bala, Mariyaan narrates the story of a site worker, who escapes from treacherous conditions to find freedom. Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman has composed music for the movie.
While confirming the news Ashok Parwani, head south, Sony Music Entertainment, says music will play an important role in Mariyaan.
"The film today is much talked about and we are confident that the music will play a pivotal role in the film," Ashok said in a statement.
