Arya's recently released Tamil romantic-comedy Raja Rani has turned out to be a blockbuster. The actor is delighted with the audience reaction, but says he never anticipated such a response.
"We were positive about the film right from the day one of shooting, but I didn't think it will turn out to be the biggest hit in my career. I'm extremely happy with the response to the film. I have been told that family audiences are watching it even on weekdays," Arya told.
Raja Rani, which released Sep 27, reportedly minted over Rs.15 crore in first four days in Tamil Nadu.
"I think one of the reasons of the success is the fact that we were always positive and we continue to be even today. We believed in the script and it didn't let us down," he added.
Directed by debutant Atlee, Raja Rani is the story of a married couple, reeling from recent breakups and falling in love again. It also features Nayanthara, Jai, Nazriya Nizam and Santhanam.
